Just a quick reminder that the 2021 Captains’ Charity day will take place this Saturday, June 19th. The Charities we are supporting this year are Barretstown and The Seal Sanctuary.
We are asking for your support for these two very worthy causes by playing in the golf, giving prizes, purchasing raffle tickets or simply donating.
For the golfers – there are still some slots available on Friday 18th (between 13.00 and 14.00) and early on Saturday morning. The format on the day will be a four-person Stableford team event (any mix of Males/Females) – 2 scores to count on Par 4’s and Par 5’s, and 3 scores to count on the Par 3’s.
As semi-opens are allowed after June 7th , visitors/non-Tara Glen residents are welcome to play in the golf – in that instance members should book their visitors using the term “Guest” in Masterscoreboard system. The name and phone number of the Guest(s) must be entered in the sheet provided in the Golf Shop on the day. The entry fee will be €30 per person/€120 per team, which is a reduction from €50 per person in previous years, as food will not be provided this year after golf due to current restrictions.
However, a snack will be provided after 9 holes on your way to the 10th Tee box.
You can contribute in various ways:
– entry fee for the competition is €120 per line, i.e. €30 per golfer. You will pay your entry fee at the Golf Shop before you start your round, as normal.
– a teebox or green can be sponsored for a donation of €100
– raffle tickets – €20 each or three for €50 – can be purchased in ‘hard copy’ from Jo Doyle or via our Go Fund Me page. Click the link below to go to the page.
